journey to the end of the night

What an amazing book! Celine hates the world and he makes a very fine fine case for doing the same. But the best part about this book isn't the nihilistic message but Celine's radical prose, filled with intensity, anger, and wit. Writers like William S. Burroughs and Charles Bukowski owe their existense to this guy. Apparently Sartre loved it to and would quote passages from it out loud at Parisian Cafes.
